The 2010 season will mark the Marcus Center’s 26th year of offering free children’s programming and its eighth year since the addition of KidZ Stage. Last year, we had the opportunity to touch the lives of over 4,000 children, right here on the Marcus Center grounds. KidZ Days At the Center provides children at a young age the chance to experience live performing arts that incorporates an educational component and encourages interactive participation free of cost.
KidZ Days at the Center 2010 is scheduled to run from June 15 through August 19 for ten weeks offering 10 AM shows on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In addition to our regular presenters, such as First Stage Children’s Theater, Milwaukee Public Library, and Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, we have included a number of culturally diverse performing groups. These groups include, the Trinity Irish Dancers, Multi-lingual Storytellers, Hmong American Peace Academy Dancers, and A Musical Drama: The Heart of the Buffalo performance just to name a few.
We hope you will join us as we continue to provide a program that has a tradition and reputation of providing quality performing arts, early childhood education, and cultural enrichment to our young people.
