The Story
The beautiful dancer and fortune-teller Esmeralda is condemned by Archdeacon Frollo as depraved, and he plots to have her kidnapped but the dashing Phoebus, Captain of the Guard, intervenes. After a tragic turn of fate, the beleaguered hunchback Quasimodo rescues Esmeralda and provides her with sanctuary in the belfry of Notre Dame Cathedral from the men who seek to wield their power over her.
